CERTIFICATION PROCESS

Choose partners carefully

We take extreme precautions while selecting partner (cold storages) to work with. Stringent parameters are in place, and prospective partners are measured before being on-boarded.

Progressive

Adoption of new technologies to increase produce quality & life. And of course customer centricity.

High Capacity

Multi-chamber, modern cold storage with high volume capacity.

Weather Control

Track record of successful temperature & humidity control along with regular log maintenance.

Diligent pre processing

Agricx certification team visits the partner cold storages to certify stored potatoes. Information is captured in a controlled environment for further processing by the proprietary "Agricx certification" software.

Sampling

Bags equalling 2.5% of total lot size are selected at random to predict the quality of the lot in question accurately.

Imaging

A crossectional image of potatoes is captured as an input for proprietary algorithm to determine the specification of each potato sampled.

Inspection

Physical identification of damages (major & minor), color, and firmness of potatoes. Fry test for processing varieties.

Grade assessment

Robust Agricx certification software uses an advanced proprietary algorithm to accurately detect grade specification of potatoes from the image captured during the previous process.

Identification & Count

Algorithm accurately identifies and counts potatoes present in the image.

Size & Weight determination

Algorithm progressively identifies length, width, and weight of each potato.

Grade assignment

With each potato identified along with its specification, they are finally placed in a similar grade range to determine estimated grade mix and variance.
